Liesbeth Vreeburg studied at the Utrechts Conservatorium with prof. Erika Waardenburg. In Juni 2008 she graduated cum laude for her bachelor. Subsequently, she entered the master’s programme and graduated cum laude as well.

In the master’s programme, Liesbeth devoted herself to the contemporary repertoire for harp, and also to improvised music. Also, she investigated historical performance and instruments.

Besides her lessons with Mrs Waardenburg she took lessons with Ms Constance Allanic (historical harp), Mr Ned McGowan (Carnatic music), Mr Marc van Vugt (improvisation) and Mr Jaap Zwart (improvisation).

Liesbeth is an active soloist and ensemble player. Her ensembles are Duo Etincelle with alto-mezzo Monique van der Hoeven, the Oneiros Ensemble with violinist Johan Olof and world music band Hava-Hava.

Liesbeth has a preference for multi-disciplinary productions where all the different forms of art can find a place.

Liesbeth has won several prizes in music competitions. She also participated in master classes with Mrs Isabelle Moretti, Mrs Emilia Moskvitina, Mr Alfredo Rolando Ortiz, MrsGermaine Lorenzini, Mr Edward Witsenburg and Mrs Brigitte Sylvestre.

In 2010 Liesbeth joined the board of the first International Harp Competition & Festival (now: Dutch Harp Festival).

Also, she is a regular substitute in professional orchestras, such as Holland Symfonia and the Gelders Orkest.
